Job summary

VSE Tek is seeking a Software Developer II to support the Air Force Weather Weapons System. This remote CONUS role involves Agile execution, cybersecurity compliance, and building scalable cloud-based applications.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of software experience, a B.S. in CS or related field, and the ability to obtain a security clearance. Join a team delivering mission-critical climatology and data processing systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS or related field is required.
Ability to obtain or currently possess a security clearance is required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development or similar role.
Strong Python development and DevSecOps background is expected.

Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable Python applications from scratch.
Architect and deploy cloud-based solutions using AWS services.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and architecture.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
Work in Unix/Linux environments for development and deployment.
Support data migration projects with data integrity and minimal downtime.
Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code; participate in code reviews.
Troubleshoot and optimize application performance; adhere to best practices.
Collaborate with Government/industry partners to advance program goals.
