Job Description

A large American video game developer and publisher based in Irvine, California is looking for an experienced Social Media Content Creator/ Motion Designer to join their Creative service team! They will develop industry-leading digital content for our social and community channels. Whether you are creating static images, videos, or interactive content, our ideal candidate must understand the visual vocabulary of different social channels and best practices for various platforms. A versatile technical skillset and a creative mind are essential. Additionally, the right candidate will have an awareness of social media trends and a basic understanding of creative performance KPIs. Strong communication skills are needed for presentations. This position is 100% remote.

Skills and Requirements

1. 5+ years of professional experience in multimedia digital content creation (video editing, social media content)
2. Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop
3. Experience with motion design and video editing tools (After Effects, Premiere, etc.)
4. Understanding of web technology trends and familiarity with Blizzard Entertainment's art styles
5. High creativity and ability to generate innovative concepts and designs
6. Strong grasp of design principles, typography, composition, contrast, and color
7. Experience creating content for platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, Reddit, and emerging channels
8. Knowledge of social media technical requirements, image formats, and video codecs
9. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
10. Teamwork and iterative design skills
11. Passion for video games, movies, graphic novels, sci-fi, and pop culture
12. Knowledge of HTML5 and CSS animations
13. Familiarity with 3D software (Maya, 3ds Max, ZBrush)
14. Knowledge of Blizzard games and experience in the gaming industry
15. Awareness of current Web 2.0 trends
16. Experience with digital photography and machinima
17. Basic understanding of game engines like Unity and asset repurposing for marketing
18. Experience working in mobile publishing environments
