Job summary

Beacon Technologies, Inc. seeks an entry-level Security Analyst to monitor SOC dashboards, triage alerts, and document incidents. The role builds a foundation in threat detection, incident response, and SOC operations within Wisconsin.

Remote (within WI) or in-office work is available for this position. Candidates should have foundational networking and OS knowledge, plus a strong analytical mindset and good communication skills.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, CS, or related field (or equivalent).
• Foundational networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S) and OS basics (Windows/Linux).
• Analytical mindset with attention to investigation of anomalies and logs.
• Good written and verbal communication; ability to document findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Review SOC dashboards and monitor security tools.
• Triages alerts and documents incidents in the ticketing system.
• Review vulnerabilities and assist remediation tracking.
• Escalate complex threats to senior SOC staff with concise briefs.
• Collaborate with IT and other teams during investigations.
