Job summary

Ocrolus is seeking a Lead Credit & Risk Data Science/Analytics in New York, NY. You’ll mine large, diverse datasets around business cash flow, credit health, and repayment for product opportunities and risk insights.

Lead analytics efforts, mentor peers, and collaborate with Product and Engineering to deploy production ML models, including agentic fraud detection and credit scoring, for lenders globally.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience in risk management, analytics, and/or data science in production
• Knowledge of small business credit, underwriting, pricing, and portfolio management
• Experience with LLMs and cutting-edge AI tools to build products
• End-to-end data science: feature engineering, model deployment, monitoring
• Strong stats, probability, and ML algorithm knowledge
• Strong Python and data engineering fundamentals; SQL skills
• Ability to communicate complex topics to clients and stakeholders
• Experience with messy financial data (bank transactions, statements, credit reports)

Responsibilities

• Analyze large, diverse datasets on cash flow, credit, and repayment to identify product opportunities
• Partner with Product and Engineering to develop and commercialize analytic data products
• Lead analytics efforts to develop data and decisioning products and mentor teammates
• Engage with clients as a SME on SMB credit and Ocrolus analytics suite
• Build scalable models balancing performance, interpretability, and client needs
• Translate business problems into well-defined data science tasks
• Own the lifecycle of data science models from exploration to production monitoring
• Explore SMB analytics initiatives like fraud detection and credit risk enhancement
