Job summary

Saransh Inc is seeking a Senior Data Practitioner/Data Lead in New York, NY (Hybrid). You will drive enterprise-wide data management initiatives and lead the data function, partnering with business stakeholders in New York and technology teams in India to deliver scalable, secure data solutions.

The role emphasizes fraud analytics, AML, and modern data engineering with PyTorch, real-time platforms, and AI-driven automation. Strong leadership and governance experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years in Data Engineering, Data Management, Data Architecture, or Data Governance.
• Minimum 5+ years leading enterprise-scale data initiatives.
• Strong experience in Banking/Financial Services or related sectors.
• Proven Fraud Analytics, Financial Crime, AML, KYC, Risk Management experience.
• Extensive Python and SQL development.
• Hands-on PyTorch for ML workflows.
• Experience building real-time data pipelines and data governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end data management initiatives across acquisition, provisioning, governance, quality, metadata, and analytics enablement.
• Design and maintain scalable data platforms for Fraud Technology, Financial Crime, AML, and Risk functions.
• Build and manage high-volume batch/real-time data pipelines.
• Develop ingestion, transformation, enrichment, and provisioning frameworks.
• Enable real-time data delivery to fraud, surveillance, and risk apps.
• Maintain enterprise data lake environments with governance and security.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists/AI teams for feature engineering and model deployment.
• Utilize PyTorch to support ML workflows and AI automation.
• Partner with stakeholders in New York and India to deliver strategic data solutions.
• Drive automation of data engineering processes using AI/ML techniques.
• Participate in architecture reviews, Agile ceremonies, and platform modernization.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote modern data engineering practices.
