Job summary

Meridial is seeking an SMB AI Power User on the Competitive Evaluations team as an independent contractor. You will operate as a business owner using AI tools to test, compare, and document how competing assistants perform for a real paying customer context.

You will run head-to-head prompts across client and rival tools, build realistic test cases, document failures with reproducible reports, and assess value against standalone subscriptions. Remote, US-based contractor role offering $40–$50/hr.

Qualifications

• Owner or operator of a small or medium business - sole proprietor, founder, or day-to-day operator.
• Daily, habitual use of generative AI tools in the business for operations and marketing.
• Organic presence on Instagram and Facebook maintained personally.
• Hands-on paid advertising experience on Meta platforms with real budget.
• Based in the United States and authorized to work here.
• Capacity to complete up to 40 hours per week with a weekly output cadence.

Responsibilities

• Run head-to-head prompts and multi-turn workflows across client and competing paid assistants.
• Build and maintain a library of realistic small-business test cases for ad copy, content planning, and messaging.
• Identify and document failure modes with clear, reproducible evidence.
• Write clear reports: prompt used, model, surface, expected vs actual output, severity, and impact.
• Assess value of the bundled subscription versus standalone options for similar spend.
• Stress-test features within social and commerce surfaces where business owners interact with AI tools.
