Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking an SLPA for a full-time, school-year contract in Washington. You will partner with a virtual SLP to deliver direct speech-language interventions and support IEP implementation within a supportive educational setting.

The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers, independent work, and adaptability to changing needs, with guidance from a supervising SLP and mentorship throughout the year.

Qualifications

• Active SLPA license for Washington State.
• Experience providing speech-language support to children in school or healthcare settings.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach.
• Ability to work independently, take direction, and adapt to changing needs.
• Knowledge of therapy tools, assistive technology, and best practices for working in school environments.

Responsibilities

• Partner with a .5 FTE virtual SLP who manages a manageable caseload in the 30s.
• Deliver direct speech and language interventions to students as recommended by the supervising SLP.
• Support implementation of IEPs and therapy plans, adapting materials and activities to meet each student's needs.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, session notes, and related documentation.
• Assist with generalization of speech and language skills into classroom and social activities.
• Communicate regularly with the supervising SLP, receiving ongoing guidance and mentorship.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to integrate strategies that promote student achievement.
