Job summary

UCLA Extension is seeking an experienced instructor to teach SketchUp and Rhino 3D within the landscape architecture, architecture, and interior design context. You will develop syllabi, create materials, and assess students using defined rubrics, primarily delivering via Canvas in online, in-person, or hybrid formats.

The role emphasizes current knowledge in landscape architecture, collaboration with program staff, and engaging students through thoughtfully designed activities and assignments,

Qualifications

• Advanced degree or accredited certificate in landscape architecture or related field.
• Current landscape architect or architect license preferred.
• Strong academic integrity and high standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and professional interaction.
• Active involvement in professional associations encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update course syllabi and modules with program staff.
• Deliver course materials and assessments with clear rubrics.
• Use Canvas as the delivery platform for online, in-person and hybrid courses.
• Communicate course objectives and grading policies.
• Post final grades within two weeks after class.
• Stay current with landscape architecture knowledge.
• Attend trainings and program meetings.
• Maintain a record of all final grades for up to 13 months.
