Job summary

UCLA Extension invites applications for an Instructor to teach digital representation and 3D modeling within Landscape Architecture, Architecture and Interior Design contexts. The ideal candidate will enable students to translate designs into clear, professional digital models and renderings using SketchUp and Rhino 3D.

Remote course instructor, ideally based in southern California, will work with the Landscape Architecture certificate program, with 6–11 week courses offered evenings.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching SketchUp and Rhino 3D.
• Knowledge of landscape architecture and related design fields.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and/or update course syllabi and modules.
• Prepare and deliver course materials and rubrics with clear instructions.
• Utilize Canvas as the course delivery platform for online, in-person and hybrid formats.
• Communicate objectives and grading policies to students.
• Evaluate outcomes and post final grades within the allotted time.
• Coordinate with Program Director and Program Manager on issues.
• Stay current with professional knowledge in Landscape Architecture.
• Complete required administrative tasks and attend training sessions.
