Job summary

Solventum is seeking a Site Reliability and Security Operations Engineer to join the Core Speech Operations team. You will help harden and secure speech products, deploy and maintain production systems, and monitor performance while planning capacity.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in operations or development, proficiency in Python/Java/Go, and experience with Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS. Remote US-based role with some travel to Pittsburgh, PA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 4+ years equivalent work experience in operations support and/or application development.
• OR High school diploma/GED and 8+ years of equivalent work experience in operations support and/or application development.
• Attention to detail and problem solving ability.
• Languages used in devops tools (Python, Jython, shell) and languages like Java and Go.
• Git version control systems (Github or Gitlab).
• SQL databases (PostgreSQL).
• Non-SQL databases (MongoDB, AWS DocumentDB).
• Build systems, CI, and CD (GoCD, Github, Gitlab).
• Virtual environments and containerization (Docker, containerd).
• Cloud orchestration/automation tools (Ansible, Kubernetes, Terraform).
• AWS products (EC2, EFS, EKS, S3, RDS, CloudFront).
• Monitoring/log aggregation (Grafana, Redis, Solr, Logstash, Elasticsearch, Kibana, Filebeat).

Responsibilities

• Harden and secure Solventum's speech products; patching and automating security processes.
• Perform operational deployments, implementations, and maintenance for production systems.
• Monitor performance metrics and perform capacity planning for Core Speech products.
• Maintain operational alerting systems.
• Participate in on-call rotation for off-hours support.
• Collaborate on projects to improve system performance and architecture.
• Adhere to corporate programs and Solventum values and standards.
