Octave is seeking a Site Reliability Manager to lead a growing SRE team responsible for reliability across our production platform as we scale. You will own the reliability strategy, define SLIs and SLOs, manage incidents end-to-end, and partner with engineering, product, and security to embed reliability into every development lifecycle.

This is a hands-on leadership role with coaching, architecture input, cost management, and regular reporting to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in site reliability, DevOps, or infra engineering, with 2+ years managing engineers.
• Experience operating large-scale distributed systems on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, IaC (Terraform), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or OpenTelemetry.
• Proven incident response leadership and durable improvements.
• Excellent communication across teams and levels.

Responsabilités

• Lead, hire, and grow a team of Site Reliability Engineers and foster a blameless ownership culture.
• Define and drive the reliability roadmap with SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
• Own end-to-end incident management, on-call structures, escalation paths, and post-incident reviews.
• Improve observability across the stack and reduce toil through automation.
• Partner with engineering and product to balance velocity with reliability and embed reliability in the lifecycle.
• Manage cloud spend and performance to optimize costs without compromising resilience.
• Report reliability health, trends, and risks to senior leadership.
