Job summary

Immatics is seeking a Team Lead, Site Operations to oversee assigned Site Operations personnel across Clinical Operations. You will manage people, plan resources, develop capabilities, ensure quality, and drive process improvement in Germany and the United States.

You will report to the Vice President, Clinical Operations, lead cross-functional initiatives, and partner with COLs to align study priorities and timelines in a remote-work setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, or related field.
• 8–10 years in Clinical Operations with 4–5+ years in people leadership.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience in late-phase oncology trials.
• Knowledge of ICH-GCP and FDA regulations.
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience with regulatory inspections.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the formal line manager for Site Operations personnel, including Clinical Trial Associates, Clinical Research Associates and Clinical Trial Managers.
• Recruit, onboard, coach, develop, and retain team members who meet role requirements and contribute to a high-performing, collaborative Clinical Operations culture.
• Set individual objectives, provide performance feedback, conduct formal evaluations, and support career development.
• Create an environment of trust, accountability, inclusion, and psychological safety while addressing performance concerns promptly.
• Ensure team members maintain training, qualifications, competencies for their responsibilities.
• Partner with Clinical Operations Leads to ensure study roles, priorities, timelines are clear.
• Maintain visibility of team capacity, capabilities, workload, and development needs; lead resource forecasting and cross-study workload balancing.
• Assign or reassign Site Operations personnel to studies based on priorities and capabilities.
• Identify capacity gaps and recommend hiring or other solutions.
• Own, develop, maintain, and harmonize Site Operations processes and SOPs with Quality.
• Ensure consistent implementation of processes across studies and regions; drive continuous improvement.
• Establish and monitor functional metrics and KPIs; identify trends and improve actions.
• Support organizational change and technology adoption to increase quality and efficiency.
• Maintain expert knowledge of ICH GCP and regulatory requirements; support inspections.
