LanguageLine Solutions LLC is seeking a Sinhala Interpreter to work from home in the United States. You will render spoken conversations between Sinhala and English speakers across healthcare, government, insurance, and more, maintaining accuracy, cultural awareness, and professional demeanor.

This independent contractor role offers per-minute pay and flexible hours, with strong support from our Senior Language Specialist and dedicated help desks; note this position does not include employee

Qualifications

• Fluency in Sinhala and English with cultural awareness.
• Ability to assess regional/accent differences for LEP communication.
• Excellent listening, retention and note-taking for accuracy.
• Must be >=18 and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsabilités

• Respond to interpreting sessions promptly in a friendly, professional manner.
• Render meanings accurately according to interpretation protocols.
• Speak clearly in both languages with proper pronunciation and politeness.
• Maintain professionalism and neutrality during sessions, including emergency calls.
• Remain on calls as needed and manage high-volume or emotional conversations.
