Job summary

Stanford University’s Cardiovascular Biomechanics Computation Lab seeks a SimVascular Software Engineer and Architect to help advance cardiovascular modeling and surgical planning. The role emphasizes C++, HPC, and software architecture across a remote-enabled team.

You will contribute to svMP, guide refactoring efforts, plan development toward FDA readiness, and mentor staff while collaborating with national partners and Marsden lab members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with extensive software development experience.
• Proven ability to design, build, test, and deploy complex software systems.
• Experience in healthcare software development and HPC environments.

Responsibilities

• Propose, conceptualize, design, implement, and develop solutions for difficult and complex applications.
• Oversee testing, debugging, change control, and documentation for major projects.
• Lead and mentor professional staff on all phases of application development projects.
• Oversee and collaborate on web-based documentation development.
• Mentor junior software developers.
