Job summary

Nutrien seeks an Associate-level Advisor to oversee SHE&S for Downstream operations, with remote work enabled in KS and NE. You will identify applicable SH&E regulations, conduct compliance audits, train staff, and liaise with regulatory agencies while supporting incident investigations and environmental risk evaluations.

The role requires a Bachelor's in safety/environmental science or related field, 5+ years of experience, and the ability to travel up to 65% with some overnight trips.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Bachelor's degree in safety, environmental science, or related field preferred.
• Professional certification in safety or environmental field is preferred; willingness to obtain certification.
• Knowledge of OSHA, PSM, EPA, RMP, DHS, state env/DP agencies; 5+ years experience.
• Ability to travel up to 65% with overnight travel ~40%.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs and withstand outdoor work in varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Identify and apply SH&E, OSHA, EPA, DOT & DHS regulations for facilities.
• Conduct SH&E compliance audits and lead training sessions.
• Advise facilities during regulatory interactions and maintain agency relationships.
• Investigate incidents and determine root causes with corrective actions.
• Support environmental risk evaluations for acquisitions and divestitures.
