Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies seeks a Service Mesh Engineer to design, deploy, and operate service mesh platforms (Istio and Linkerd) across our Kubernetes estate. You will focus on platform engineering, mesh adoption, mTLS, traffic policy, and enablement for application teams.

The ideal candidate has production experience with service mesh in a Kubernetes environment, deep Envoy knowledge, and strong automation skills with Go or Python. This is a remote, full-time role supporting U.S. operations.

Qualifications

We are seeking a Service Mesh Engineer with 7+ years in platform engineering, SRE, or networking.
Hands-on production experience with Istio or Linkerd.
Strong understanding of Envoy proxy internals and configuration.
Deep Kubernetes expertise including networking, CNI, and ingress.
Strong knowledge of mTLS, PKI, and certificate lifecycle management.
Experience with distributed tracing and observability for mesh traffic.
Proficiency in Go or Python for tooling and automation.
Excellent troubleshooting across networking, application, and control plane layers.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities
