Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Service Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and operate service mesh platforms (Istio/Linkerd) across a Kubernetes estate. The role focuses on platform engineering, mesh adoption, and secure, observable service-to-service communication.

The ideal candidate has production experience with Istio or Linkerd, deep Envoy knowledge, and hands-on Go or Python tooling expertise for automation and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
5+ years in platform engineering, SRE, or networking.
Hands-on production experience with Istio or Linkerd.
Strong knowledge of Envoy internals and configuration.
Deep Kubernetes expertise including networking and ingress.
Familiar with mTLS, PKI, and certificate lifecycle management.
Experience with distributed tracing and observability for mesh traffic.
Proficiency in Go or Python for tooling and automation.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
