Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Service Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and operate service mesh platforms (Istio/Linkerd) across a Kubernetes estate. The role focuses on platform engineering, mesh adoption, and secure, observable service-to-service communication.

The ideal candidate has production experience with Istio or Linkerd, deep Envoy knowledge, and hands-on Go or Python tooling expertise for automation and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years in platform engineering, SRE, or networking.
• Hands-on production experience with Istio or Linkerd.
• Strong knowledge of Envoy internals and configuration.
• Deep Kubernetes expertise including networking and ingress.
• Familiar with mTLS, PKI, and certificate lifecycle management.
• Experience with distributed tracing and observability for mesh traffic.
• Proficiency in Go or Python for tooling and automation.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Advance mesh adoption, mTLS, and traffic policy strategies.
