Job summary

Abilities First is seeking a Service Coordinator for the Missouri First Steps program. You will manage a caseload of young children with developmental disabilities, coordinate intake, eligibility, and IFSP processes, and liaise with families and providers to ensure timely services.

The role requires familiarity with DESE standards, strong communication, and the ability to maintain compliant records while supporting families through referral, assessment, and service delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a DESE approved field; 1 year of documented experience with families in early intervention preferred or 3 years with families and young children.
• General knowledge of early childhood development and service coordination.
• Experience with DESE standards and WebSPOE/digital records is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an assigned caseload of children and families.
• Complete intake and IFSP processes within required timelines.
• Ensure services begin within 30 days of parental consent and are delivered as written in the IFSP.
• Maintain confidential electronic records and effective communication with families and providers.
