Job summary

CAI is seeking a Server Engineer Intern to help configure, deploy, and support server environments that host custom-developed business applications. The role offers hands-on experience with server infrastructure, troubleshooting, automation, and cloud technologies while building valuable technical skills. The internship runs June 7, 2027 through August 6, 2027 and is fully remote, full-time (40 hours/week).

Core business hours are 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. ET, United States-based work only.

Qualifications

Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Current student with strong academic record (GPA 3.5+).
Analytical mindset and troubleshooting abilities.
Basic server OS knowledge (Windows Server & Linux).
Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls).
Clear technical documentation writing skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office.
Willingness to learn infra concepts.

Responsibilities

Assist in configuring, deploying, and supporting server environments that host custom-developed business applications.
Support setup and maintenance of development, test, staging, and production environments.
Monitor server health, performance, and availability; help resolve issues.
