Job summary

CAI is seeking a Server Engineer Intern to assist with configuring and supporting server environments that host custom business applications. This fully remote, 9-week internship runs June 7, 2027 through August 6, 2027, requiring 40 hours per week during core hours (8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. ET).

All work must be performed in the United States. Sponsorship is not available. You will gain hands-on experience with server infrastructure, troubleshooting, automation, and cloud technologies while building

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• Current junior with a 3.5 GPA or higher.
• Analytical mindset with strong troubleshooting abilities.
• Basic understanding of server operating systems (Windows Server and Linux).
• Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls).
• Ability to write technical documentation and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist in configuring, deploying, and supporting server environments hosting business applications.
• Support setup and maintenance of development, test, staging, and production environments.
• Monitor server health, performance, and availability; help resolve issues.
