Stride, Inc. is seeking an SEO Specialist contractor to support organic search across multiple K12-powered schools’ digital marketing efforts. The role emphasizes execution: on-page optimization, content refreshes, and data-driven briefs to boost visibility for priority pages.

You will deliver monthly updates on rankings and traffic, apply local SEO, and work with writers to optimize content while adhering to established templates and guidelines. This is a virtual, contract position.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on SEO experience.
• Strong keyword research and search intent mapping.
• Proficient with SEO tools such as SEMrush or Ahrefs, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics.
• Proven ranking and traffic improvements with concrete examples.
• Working knowledge of indexation, canonicals, internal linking, and structured data.

Responsibilities

• Conduct keyword research and intent analysis for pages and topics.
• On-page optimization of title tags, meta descriptions, headers, content, and internal linking.
• Execute content refreshes on priority pages based on data.
• Apply local SEO to school location pages and geographic targeting.
• Flag technical issues for the internal team to resolve.
• Build data-backed content briefs with keywords, intent, and structure.
• Review and optimize writer content before publication.
• Provide monthly performance updates on rankings, traffic, and engagement.
