Job summary

Fountain Forward is seeking an experienced SEO Leader to own and elevate our automotive-focused SEO program. You will shift from execution to leadership, coaching a team of specialists, defining strategy, and driving delivery quality across client projects.

Based in a remote-first environment, you will lead process improvements, ensure reporting accuracy, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to stay ahead of industry trends and algorithm updates.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of SEO experience, including team leadership or management.
• Deep understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking methods.
• Knowledge of SEO programs: Google Analytics, Local Viking, Google Search Console, SEMrush/Ahrefs.
• Practical knowledge of keyword research and data-mining tools.
• Ability to perform competitive audits and tests.
• Comfort with high-volume data analysis.
• Proficiency in WordPress and SEO plugins; basic HTML.
• Advanced analytics tool experience and link-building familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve SEO strategy, training, reporting, and delivery quality across the team.
• Lead and mentor SEO Specialists; delegate tasks and manage workload.
• Oversee GMB management, keyword research, audits, and monthly reporting.
• Standardize processes and templates; collaborate on tool improvements.
• Monitor performance metrics and ensure data accuracy and SLA compliance.
• Partner with CSMs and PMs to align SEO insights with client goals.
• Collaborate with Product, Technology, Analytics for tool and process enhancements.
• Contribute SEO insights to company strategy via Strategy Council.
