The Coastal Climate Resilience Lab at UC Berkeley seeks a part-time Research Data Analyst 1 in remote sensing and geospatial analysis. The role involves data analysis, code adaptation, and visualization to support environmental research projects in California coastal systems.

Qualifications

• Acquiring knowledge of research function and ability to perform research analysis duties.
• Acquiring statistical analysis, systems programming, and database design skills to perform research analysis duties.
• Ability to manage time and see assigned parts of projects through to completion on deadline.
• Basic consultation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision, performs basic statistical and data analysis.
• Apply existing code to new data from an online repository to deliver outputs.
• Apply an existing code script to data on inputs to the California coastline.
• Create reports and basic visualizations on results.
• Supports testing of research instruments and data sources.
• Create a map of tree species using an established method and protocol.
