University of California, Berkeley is seeking a part-time Research Data Analyst 1 in remote sensing and geospatial analysis. The role involves data analysis, applying existing code to new datasets, and generating reports and visualizations for ongoing collaborations.

The position is 20 hours per week with remote work options within the United States and supervision from senior researchers in ESPM. Bachelor’s degree required; bias toward data-driven environmental research.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• Experience with data analysis and statistics.
• Ability to work under supervision and meet deadlines.

Responsabilidades

• Under direct supervision, performs basic statistical and data analysis.
• Apply existing code to new data from online repos to deliver code outputs.
• Apply an existing code script to data on inputs to the California coastline.
• Create reports and basic visualizations on results.
• Supports testing of research instruments and data sources.
• Create a map of tree species using an established method and protocol.
• Collects research data and prepares it for analysis.
• Assists with study design proposals and survey instruments.
• Assists with report preparation and / or analysis for internal constituents.
• Develops knowledge in areas of storage, documentation and dissemination of computerized data.
• Assists with evaluation and research of data reporting products.
