Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Remote Sensing Architecture Graduate Intern to apply advanced MS&A methods for space-based remote sensing architectures. This 100% onsite internship spans multiple offices including El Segundo, Chantilly, and Colorado Springs, working with mentors and staff on multiple projects. Qualifications include a Master’s/Ph.D.

in a related STEM field or BS with upcoming graduate studies, 3.0+ GPA, and programming familiarity (Python/C++/MATLAB). U.S.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled full-time in an accredited college/university pursuing a Master’s or Ph.D. in aerospace engineering, physics, operations research, mathematics, or a related field.
• Alternatively, BS completed by internship start date and enrolled in a graduate STEM degree program beginning Fall 2027.
• Minimum GPA 3.0.
• Ability to obtain/maintain US security clearance (US citizenship required).
• Familiarity with one or more programming languages such as Python, C++, or MATLAB.

Responsibilities

• Gain knowledge in national security space mission areas (geo-spatial intelligence, signals intelligence, space surveillance, navigation, etc.).
• Provide analysis to support research and acquisition decisions for sensing architectures.
• Perform architecture evaluation modeling using in-house or custom tools.
• Translate customer needs into project objectives and provide technical evaluations.
• Develop and present timely, technically accurate analyses and reports to leads, management, and customers.
• Support sustainment and growth of analysis and simulation capabilities.
