Job summary

CorVel is seeking a WC Senior Claims Specialist to handle complex workers' compensation claims, working with case managers and attorneys, managing subrogation, and negotiating settlements in a remote position.

This role emphasizes meeting customer service expectations, supporting the Claims Department goals, and complying with state regulations. California self-insured license and 3+ years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field or experience.
• CA self-insured license required and WC licensing maintained.
• 3+ years of workers' compensation claims handling experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive and validate WC claims, confirm coverage and acknowledgement.
• Investigate to determine validity and reserving needs within limits.
• Coordinate early return-to-work and subrogation efforts.
• Manage subrogation, litigation, and claim recoveries as applicable.
• Provide timely updates to customers and claimants and adhere to guidelines.
