You will coordinate with logging partners to procure 60k-100k tons annually, negotiate contracts, monitor supplier performance, and visit sites to ensure alignment with production plans. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in forestry, forest management, or biology.
• 8–10 years of combined roundwood and residual procurement and forestry/timber ops experience.
• Excel and Word proficiency.
• Effective analytical skills, contract negotiation and management skills required.
• Accounting knowledge and strong written and verbal communications required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with plant leadership and production planners to understand sourcing needs.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and monitor performance.
• Monitor regional market dynamics and develop buying strategy accordingly.
• Ensure volume, mix, and quality targets are met.
• Negotiate best cost per ton (CPT) and provide forecasts.
• Regular visits with plant leadership and suppliers to ensure alignment.
