Job summary

RGA is seeking an experienced leader to manage a facultative underwriting team and drive profitable decisions for life and health-related products. You will develop expertise, evaluate complex risks, and maintain strong client relationships across regional teams.

Lead initiatives to improve processes, collaborate with multiple departments, and guide underwriting strategies while aligning with RGA’s philosophy and client-centric approach.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of work experience in a related field or equivalent
• Experience in reinsurance underwriting is strongly preferred
• Strong ability to interpret insurance contracts and related documents
• Advanced written and oral communication with diverse stakeholders
• Ability to lead change management and manage multiple tasks concurrently
• Proficiency with Word, SQL/Query and Excel for analytics and reporting
• Professional accreditation such as ACS, ALU, FLMI, FALU, or CLU preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead daily team management including coaching, hiring, and performance reviews
• Support regional underwriting leadership and review pricing quotes
• Collaborate with Underwriting, Business Development, CMS and other teams
• Coordinate client communications and ensure clear, measurable outcomes
• Develop client relationships and provide underwriting solutions
• Prepare data-driven reports, scorecards, and analyses as needed
• Ensure profitability and alignment with company underwriting guidelines
