Job summary

CITGO Petroleum Corporation in Houston seeks a Manager Trading to lead a trading team supporting asset-backed trading. You will establish priorities, oversee execution, and drive risk-controlled profitability across crude, feedstocks, and refined products.

You'll lead critical negotiations, coordinate with Supply Chain, Economics & Planning, Refining, and Compliance, and build talent while advancing market strategies in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in physical hydrocarbon marketing, supply, or trading.
• Demonstrated understanding of markets, arbitrage, refinery operations, derivatives, risk.
• Ability to lead employees and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Leads the development and execution of physical and financial trading strategies.
• Trades physical and financial commodities for system optimization and profitability.
• Oversees positions, exposure, hedging, and execution discipline.
• Uses futures, swaps, options, and other instruments to manage risk.
• Coordinates with refining, planning, logistics, and commercial teams.
• Ensures compliance with trading authorities and internal controls.
