Job summary

Placements24 is partnering with a rapidly growing telecoms company to hire a Senior Telecoms Network Architect for a fully remote role. You will design, develop, and implement scalable network architectures that support global communication services.

Lead architectural direction across IP networking, 4G/5G, cloud integration, NFV/SDN, and security, while mentoring network engineering teams and collaborating with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in a related field.
• Minimum of 9 years in telecommunications network design and architecture.
• Deep knowledge of IP networking, MPLS, BGP, routing, switching and security.
• Experience with 4G/5G wireless and fixed-line architectures.
• Strong cloud and virtualization (NFV/SDN) expertise.
• Proven ability to design and implement large-scale network solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical and strategic thinking.
• Superior communication and stakeholder influence skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee implementation of comprehensive telecom network architectures.
• Develop strategic plans for network evolution with new technologies.
• Ensure designs are scalable, resilient, secure, and cost-effective.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to translate requirements.
• Evaluate and recommend new network technologies, hardware, and software.
• Maintain architectural documentation and guidelines.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to network teams.
• Conduct architectural reviews and ensure design principle adherence.
• Identify and mitigate risks and dependencies.
• Contribute to capacity planning and performance optimization.
