Job summary

WSP in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Senior Technical Manager, Electrical Engineer with a Protective Relaying emphasis to lead projects within the ESSP team. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited).
10+ years of post-education experience in protective relaying for power systems.
Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain one.
Occasional travel may be required; adherence to safety policies.

Responsibilities

Lead client projects and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
Develop protection philosophy, relay settings, and SCADA integration.
perform protection analyses including short circuit and time-current coordination.
coordinate data collection during onsite visits and discuss project specifics with clients.
