Job summary

MGT is seeking experienced technical professionals for a large-scale statewide IT, telecommunications, and network migration initiative. This contract role is primarily remote with occasional onsite meetings in Sacramento, CA, and spans September 2026 through September 2029 with potential extensions.

Key duties include leading technical deployment, coordinating teams and providers, and guiding migration readiness, risk assessment, and strategic planning to ensure a smooth transition.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience aligning IT systems/technology solutions with business requirements.
• 5+ years of technical lead/leadership experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or related field; qualifying experience substitution may apply.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical deployment and migration activities.
• Coordinate technical teams, vendors, and telecommunications providers.
• Lead migration/testing conference bridges.
• Support reference architecture and strategic technical planning.
• Identify technical risks, gaps, and dependencies.
• Oversee testing and migration readiness.
• Perform technical gap analysis.
• Support technical and policy recommendations.
