Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. seeks a Technical Accounting Policy Manager to join the Accounting team. This highly visible individual contributor role shapes accounting for new crypto products, complex transactions, and evolving matters while partnering across Finance, Legal, Tax, Product, and external advisors.

This is a remote role. Reporting to the Director of Reporting and Technical Accounting Policy, you will write memos, draft disclosures for 10-Q/10-K, support audits, and coordinate with external

Qualifications

• CPA required with strong US GAAP knowledge and experience drafting memos.
• Big 4 background preferred with public accounting and industry exposure.
• Proven ability to translate complex business events into accounting conclusions.
• Experience coordinating with auditors and external consultants.
• Strong written and verbal communication with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Shape accounting policies for new products and complex transactions.
• Monitor guidance and business developments affecting Coinbase accounting.
• Lead analyses for strategic investments and other transactions under ASC 321/323/810.
• Support M&A diligence and purchase accounting under ASC 805.
• Deliver disclosures for 10-Q/10-K and ensure SOX controls effectiveness.
