Job summary

Great American Insurance Group is seeking a Senior Subrogation Specialist to identify, evaluate, and pursue recovery opportunities in workers’ compensation and commercial auto subrogation. The role collaborates with claims, legal counsel, experts, and insureds to drive favorable recoveries.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in subrogation, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and knowledge of multi-jurisdictional subrogation laws.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 10+ years of commercial subrogation experience.
• Experience across multiple jurisdictions preferred.
• Strong liability analysis and recovery strategies.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and evaluate third-party recovery opportunities.
• Negotiate settlements with attorneys and parties.
• Manage multi-jurisdictional subrogation caseload.
• Coordinate with adjusters, attorneys, experts, and insureds.
• Monitor deadlines and statutes of limitation.
• Prepare notices and documentation to protect recovery interests.
• Provide updates to leadership on recovery analyses.
