Job summary

SmartRecruiters, Inc. seeks an experienced Structural Engineer to help train and evaluate AI systems focused on structural engineering. You will design tasks, develop reference solutions, and score AI outputs using OpenSees and established design codes.

This remote, project-based role offers flexible hours (10–39 hours per week) and weekly payments. You will review AI-generated solutions for accuracy and provide actionable feedback to improve model performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required or equivalent.
• Experience in structural analysis and design with practical application.
• Hands-on OpenSees experience and familiarity with design codes (ACI 318, AISC 360).
• Ability to write clear, detailed engineering documentation and reports.

Responsibilities

• Design AI training tasks based on structural engineering concepts.
• Create problem statements covering analysis, design, and code compliance.
• Develop reference solutions and deterministic scoring criteria for AI evaluation.
• Build engineering tasks using OpenSees and related methodologies.
• Create evaluation scenarios including seismic design, pushover analysis, and FEA.
• Review AI-generated solutions for technical accuracy and compliance.
• Provide structured feedback to improve AI performance.
• Work independently in a fully remote, flexible environment.
