Job summary

Fenix Solutions is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to inspect and diagnose parking structures across the U.S. This high-mobility role requires extensive travel (50–60%) and remote coordination with the home office.

You will apply cutting-edge inspection tech, including GPR and imaging tools, to deliver actionable repair strategies. Ideal candidates hold a PE license with 5–7+ years in structural engineering, preferably with concrete/material science focus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
• PE license required.
• 5–7+ years in structural engineering, concrete/material science preferred.
• Willingness to travel 50-60%+ (typical trips 1–2 days/week).
• Experience with field assessments, inspections, or forensic engineering.
• Operate with a high degree of autonomy while traveling.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Grit and adaptability in dynamic field environments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections of parking structures focusing on durability and load bearing.
• Use NDE methods to assess structures across multiple geographies.
• Serve as escalation point for national accounts.
• Diagnose issues and develop repair/preservation solutions.
• Work independently and communicate with the home office.
• Create detailed engineering reports and client recommendations.
• Collect data via NDE methods (GPR, corrosion mapping).
• Draft reports and coordinate with design teams remotely.
