Job summary

Placements24 seeks a highly skilled Remote Civil Engineer specializing in Structural Design to work autonomously on diverse infrastructure projects, ensuring safety and code compliance.

You will perform advanced analyses, develop detailed design calculations and drawings, and collaborate with a global virtual team. A PE registration with ECSA and a minimum of 8 years of experience are required, with strong knowledge of international design codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA is mandatory.
• A minimum of 8 years of proven experience in structural engineering design and analysis.
• Expertise in structural analysis and design software (SAP2000, ETABS, Prokon, STAAD.Pro).
• Deep knowledge of material science, structural mechanics, and design codes (SANS, Eurocodes).
• Strong capacity for independent, remote work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct complex structural analyses for various structural types.
• Design foundations, beams, columns, and connections using appropriate materials.
• Produce detailed drawings, calculations, and specifications meeting codes.
• Ensure designs comply with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with remote project teams and consultants via virtual tools.
• Review submittals and provide remote technical support during construction.
