Job summary
Fresenius Medical Care North America seeks an experienced Category Manager to develop strategic sourcing programs, lead supplier negotiations, and drive cost-savings across assigned materials. You will coordinate with Procurement and Global Strategic Procurement teams to ensure alignment of strategies and deliver supply continuity.
The role requires strong leadership, deep category management expertise, and a track record of reducing costs through structured sourcing processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree desirable.
- 8+ years in strategic sourcing/category management with direct/indirect sourcing.
- 3+ years of supervisory experience; strong negotiation and leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement category strategies for assigned areas.
- Lead supplier selection, base rationalization, and contract negotiations.
- Own supplier relationship management, benchmarks, audits, and reviews.
- Prepare RFPs and perform price analyses and should-cost modeling.
- Drive cost savings programs and annual targets.
- Collaborate with procurement and global teams for aligned strategies.
- Provide project leadership and cross-functional stakeholder engagement.
