Job summary

Cribl is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer for the Security Products team, focusing on next‑generation AI SOC capabilities. You will architect autonomous post‑detection workflows, build reasoning systems with LLMs, and enable multi‑agent investigations that operate at machine speed.

This is a fully remote role in a remote‑first company, with global teams. You’ll work closely with Cribl Detect to ingest signals, orchestrate investigations, and ensure safe, transparent decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent; Master's preferred.
• Proven leadership in AI SOC, SOAR, or post‑detection automation at scale.
• Experience with production AI systems, LLM orchestration, vector embeddings, and RAG architectures.
• Designing scalable, low-latency distributed systems for asynchronous event processing.
• Understanding security workflows and MITRE ATT&CK is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Architect post‑detection workflows including autonomous triage and investigation.
• Build production‑grade reasoning systems with LLMs and context graphs.
• Ingest detection signals and trigger automated investigations and responses.
• Explore multi‑agent paradigms and rapid prototyping for SOC interfaces.
• Write core abstractions and establish benchmarks for accuracy and latency.
• Provide safe execution frameworks with clear audit trails and human oversight.
• Collaborate with product, security researchers, and stakeholders to translate ideas into plans.
• Guide engineering talent and represent Cribl's AI SOC vision.
