Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in software development and operating distributed systems.
• Proficient in Go, Python, or similar languages; strong testing practices (unit/integration/E2E).
• Deep experience with containerization technologies, preferably Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of Linux internals and networking (filesystems, TCP/IP, DNS, TLS).
• Customer-focused mindset; treat internal developers as users.
• Strong operational ownership; debug production issues and drive fixes.
• Preference for automation over manual ops work; minimize toil.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to developing and maintaining a scalable, secure runtime environment on Kubernetes for MongoDB products.
• Provide internal support for the Kubernetes ecosystem with engineering teams.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to resolve critical issues.
• Prioritize blameless post-mortems and drive systemic fixes to prevent recurrence.
