Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager to drive category development, engage in strategic procurement, and execute sourcing activities across US-based teams. The role emphasizes supplier selection, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration with Legal and Information Security.

You will lead complex sourcing events (RFP/RFI/RFQ) and develop savings insights while guiding teams through the end-to-end source-to-pay process.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Procurement/Sourcing experience including at least 6 years in sourcing software and complex technology services.
• BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
• Experience with eSourcing and spending analytics tools (Coupa, SAP Ariba, Ivalua) and strong Excel/Google skills.
• Familiarity with AI-powered procurement tools and contract management experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop category management plans and sourcing strategies to achieve cost savings and performance targets.
• Lead cross-functional teams to define requirements and drive supplier initiatives that create value and reduce risk.
• Develop reports on savings and KPIs to monitor progress against objectives.
• Provide visibility into supplier spend and performance across the organization.
• Support RFx efforts by guiding project teams through supplier selection processes.
• Partner with Legal, Information Security, and Third-Party Governance to manage source-to-pay agreements.
• Manage strategic procurement engagement with key business units.
