Qualifications

• 7+ years in software development with 3+ years in a human capital leadership role.
• 3+ years of COBOL experience.
• Strong background building and maintaining SaaS applications at scale.
• Hands-on with Azure and modern development practices.
• Familiarity with Git and version control; Agile methodologies; KanBan preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering, product, and business leaders to align technical execution with business goals.
• Foster a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning and innovation.
• Drive software development best practices, including code reviews, testing, and CI/CD.
• Ensure timely delivery of high-quality software in an agile environment.
• Mentor and develop engineers, helping them grow their skills and careers.
• Lead and manage a team of software engineers to deliver scalable, secure, high-performance applications; hiring, training and evaluations.
• Work with architecture and platform teams to align on technical strategies and implementation.
• Promote cross-functional collaboration and report KPIs monthly to leadership.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and integrate relevant innovations into IT infra.
• Participate in software solution design and architecture.
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support.
• Create and maintain documentation throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Leverage generative AI tools to boost productivity and quality.
