Job summary

Redhorse Corporation is seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Mission Systems Integrations to design, build, and deploy high-performance software for defense and national security. You’ll bridge tactical edge operations with enterprise data platforms using TAK and CoT architectures, delivering real-time situational awareness.

You will collaborate with government stakeholders, implement CI/CD pipelines, and ensure scalable, secure integrations across on‑prem, edge, and cloud deployments.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance required (eligibility for TS/SCI).
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of software engineering and systems integration.
• 3+ years within the TAK/CoT ecosystem (CoT messaging, TAK Server, ATAK/WinTAK).
• Proficiency in two or more languages: Java/Kotlin, C#/C++, Python.
• Experience with real-time messaging, data serialization (XML/JSON/Protobuf).
• Git/GitLab, Docker, CI/CD experience; travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate plugins and middleware in the TAK ecosystem.
• Architect data schemas and routes between tactical devices and cloud systems.
• Deploy and maintain TAK Server across on‑prem, edge, and cloud envs.
• Build low-latency APIs and data pipelines for multi‑sensor feeds.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and government stakeholders.
• Implement automated CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments.
• Troubleshoot network, protocol, and integration issues across environments.
