Job summary

GiveDirectly is seeking an experienced engineer to join our remote fundraising engineering team. You will help delight donors, ensure donations are recorded, and support fundraising workflows with a mix of website work and solid plumbing of systems.

The role requires 4+ years of engineering experience, fluent English, and comfort working across East Africa Time and US Eastern Time. We offer a generous compensation package and a fully remote work setup.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of engineering experience.
• Fluent in English.
• Willingness to work across East Africa Time and US Eastern Time.
• Experience with legacy or web technologies (Laravel, PHP, JS, HTML/CSS) is a plus.
• Comfortable working autonomously and with non-engineers on evolving tasks.

Responsibilities

• Support fundraising by engineering donor experiences and workflow tooling.
• Delight donors, assist fundraisers, and ensure donations are recorded correctly.
• Do a bit of website development and maintain plumbing between systems.
