Job summary

Discord is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for its Application Security team to design and implement full-stack security solutions that protect hundreds of millions of users. You will lead work to strengthen session security and authentication across Discord’s accounts, and drive adoption of stronger security capabilities.

You will collaborate with product teams to ship user-facing account security tools, build scalable security controls, and stay current with the authentication landscape.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience securing production applications.
• Hands-on experience with authentication and account security (WebAuthn, passkeys, MFA).
• Experience shipping production software and security controls.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement full-stack security solutions for Discord users.
• Lead efforts to strengthen session security and authentication.
• Operate and maintain security-critical authentication services and tools.
