Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or Computer Science (preferred).
• Nine years of related experience or equivalent, including five years in program development and three years in specialized programming.
• Working knowledge of claims management applications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determines impact of new programs on existing system operations.
• Oversees development of system specifications with business users and sponsors; assesses project feasibility.
• Assists in projecting software and hardware requirements.
• Oversees SDLC-compliant design, development, maintenance, testing and debugging of software.
• Forms/defines project scope and objectives.
• Leads development and maintenance of software to meet company needs and user feedback.
• Prepares program documentation for admins and end users.
• Directs other analysts/programmers; assigns and monitors workload.
• Provides guidance and training to the team.
• Prepares status reports for department management.
• Ensures projects meet goals and cooperate with team members.
• Keeps up-to-date with technology changes and direction.
