Apexon is hiring a Senior SOC Analyst for a remote role. The ideal candidate will lead complex investigations, perform threat hunting, and drive improvements in security monitoring and incident response across diverse environments.

You will mentor SOC analysts, develop playbooks, and coordinate remediation with cross-functional teams while maintaining thorough documentation and reporting.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of cybersecurity or SOC experience.
• Hands-on with SIEM/XSIAM platforms and SOC operations.
• Experience in incident investigation, response and escalation.
• Threat hunting and detection engineering experience.
• Root-cause analysis and cross-functional remediation coordination.
• Ability to develop and improve incident response playbooks.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Mentor teammates and support knowledge transfer.
• Relevant certifications such as GCIH, GCIA, GCFE, GCDA, CISSP or equivalent.

Responsabilités

• Serve as a senior escalation point for Tier 1 and Tier 2 SOC analysts.
• Lead investigations of complex, high-visibility security incidents.
• Analyze threats across endpoint, network, identity, cloud, app and data.
• Coordinate containment, eradication and recovery activities.
• Perform proactive threat hunting and identify emerging threats.
• Tune and improve detection rules and monitoring capabilities.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain incident response playbooks and procedures.
• Document findings, risks, and remediation recommendations.
• Create knowledge articles and training materials.
• Mentor junior staff and support knowledge transfer.
• Provide guidance for backup, recovery and backend troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve SOC processes.
