Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails applications.
• 3+ years of experience with AWS.
• Proficient in Kubernetes.
• Skilled in profiling and benchmarking source code.
• Effective in code review to identify performance issues.
• Familiarity with Datadog or similar APM tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify, triage, and resolve performance issues.
• Enhance system observability by monitoring performance metrics.
• Build and maintain AI agents and automations to reduce operational toil.
• Utilize AI-assisted tools for performance analysis and code review.
• Collaborate with SREs to address performance bottlenecks.
• Assist product engineers in adopting AI-driven workflows.
• Lead database capacity planning and upgrade initiatives.
• Manage disaster recovery planning and execution for databases.
• Oversee backup systems and pre-production databases.
• Create and maintain infrastructure and operations documentation.
• Participate in the on-call rotation.
