Job summary

Everforth ECS is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to define, implement, and grow our SRE practice for production reliability. You will design monitoring, logging, and incident response using the Elastic stack and related tools, partnering with cross‑functional teams to improve scalability and performance.

The role emphasizes defining SLOs/SLIs, automating observability, and maintaining highly available services in a remote work setup across the U.S. federal data services environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or equivalent.
• 6+ years of hands-on observability design, implementation, and maintenance.
• 3+ years with SRE tools such as Elastic, Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk.
• 3+ years defining and measuring SLOs and SLIs.
• 3+ years with cloud platforms (AWS GovCloud preferred).
• 3+ years scripting in Python or Bash; TypeScript for synthetic monitoring.
• Strong understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, microservices, and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Define, implement, and grow the SRE practice to ensure reliability and performance.
• Set up logging, monitoring, and alerting using Elastic stack and other tools.
• Respond to incidents, perform root cause analysis, and prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with developers, testers, and infra/DevOps to embed reliability.
• Define and measure SLOs/SLIs and drive reliability improvements.
