Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories is seeking a Senior/Principal ASC Secure Platform Engineer and Software Support to advance secure HPC environments and DevSecOps practices. The role combines HPC, cybersecurity, and AI/ML in a remote-friendly setting, supporting ASC programs and a broad set of researchers.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree plus five years of related experience, knowledge of modern software development tools, and eligibility for a DOE Q clearance.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and five (5) years of directly relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DOE Q security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teams to define secure computing requirements.
• Develop, test, and deploy secure HPC environments and infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and optimize software and platform configurations.
• Ensure cybersecurity compliance and best practices.
• Integrate AI/ML workflows into HPC platforms.
• Communicate with stakeholders to prioritize and update on progress.
• Enhance DevSecOps processes for improved security and performance.
• Provide responsive support to ASC scientific and engineering users.
